Charles Hoskinson discusses his stance on Cardano NFTs and the reasons he has chosen to remain on the sidelines.
The relationship between Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson and the NFT industry is fraught, with Hoskinson often sparking controversy with his risky actions. The controversial creator, who recently made headlines for adopting an NFT artwork as his profile photo, has stirred up controversy before.
Given the NFT community’s penchant for exaggeration and hyperbole, Hoskinson wasted no time in responding to questions about his involvement in NFT initiatives by posting on his social media sites.
In a video update given on August 30, Charles Hoskinson went into his view on the Cardano NFT ecosystem, offering insights into his policies on the sector. The founder had previously received an NFT artwork as a gift from the Ape Society at Rare Evo 2023, prompting the subsequent post.
Hoskinson made it clear that accepting the NFT gift was not a vote of confidence in the organization. Further explaining his commitment to objectivity, he said that he does not invest in NFTs or do business with projects. Hoskinson noted that he had turned down compensation on many occasions despite being offered it.
Even while he praised several initiatives inside the Cardano NFT ecosystem, the crypto expert stressed that his praise should not be construed as an endorsement. Hoskinson expressed his admiration for the Cardano NFT initiatives and emphasized that he enjoyed them equally.
