Charles Hoskinson, a creator of the cryptocurrency Cardano, revealed on Twitter that he is participating in a hunt for a “meteor of interstellar origin” that fell to Earth in 2014.
The Galileo Project at Harvard University is leading the hunt for the meteor’s source, confirmed by the United States Department of Defence in 2019.
In March of 2023, Cardano’s creator, Charles Hoskinson, put $1.5 million towards the Galileo Project. Hoskinson verified his location with the researchers on the 16th of June, sending information through a series of Tweets from the coast of Papua New Guinea in the Pacific Ocean.
He tweeted that there’s a lot of territory to cover, and they still need to begin using the sluice sledge. Loed, another expedition participant, keeps a blog informing readers about the team’s daily activities.
He wrote about finding a manganese-platinum wire with an unusual abundance pattern on June 16th, which sets it apart from other wires on the market.
The expedition’s scientists are firm believers in extraterrestrial life and think the meteor that fell into the water is a piece of a UFO.
