Crypto.com has pledged to cover X subscriptions as a gesture of solidarity with Elon Musk’s advocacy for free speech in the aftermath of Trump’s election victory.
In this week’s US election, Donald Trump emerged victorious with 295 electoral votes, surpassing Kamala Harris’s 226. Some Trump supporters attribute a portion of his success to X, which facilitated the unrestricted circulation of Trump content and open discourse.
In acknowledgement of this, Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek expressed his support for X and its dedication to free expression by providing users with a reimbursement on the cost of their X subscription.
Marszalek announced a special offer for new and existing users in order to rally Crypto.com’s support for Elon Musk’s free speech vision for X. Crypto.com will reimburse consumers for the cost of their blue check marks when they make a purchase using a Crypto.com card.
Maintaining the authenticity and integrity of an account necessitates a premium subscription. The blue check mark is a symbol of this. Verified users receive access to X’s revenue-sharing model and are subject to fewer advertisements in exchange.
Marszalek has verified that the agreement will provide a year of reimbursement for the checkmark subscription of new Crypto.com users, while existing users will receive a one-month reimbursement.
Musk was a key figure in Trump’s election campaign, advocating aggressively for him and contributing a considerable $119 million.
Musk proposed the concept of a “government efficiency commission” in September, with the objective of conducting an audit of the federal government to reduce costs and guarantee that taxpayers receive a fair return on their investment. Trump enthusiastically endorsed this initiative.
With Trump poised to assume office once more, there is increasing speculation that Musk may assume a government position, leading the fight against wasteful government expenditure and deception.
