Developer of the Input-Output Global blockchain announces partnership to promote NFT adoption on Cardano
The blockchain startup behind Cardano (ADA), Input-Output Global (IOG), is cooperating with a non-fungible token (NFT) ecosystem to promote NFT adoption.
According to a recent press release from the firm, NMKR, which claims to be the “leading NFT minting and payment infrastructure on Cardano,” has developed a Minting API for a new NFT ecosystem.
In addition to bitcoin, NMKR wants to include a new fiat payment option that would enable customers to pay using conventional currencies.
Charles Hoskinson, a co-founder of Cardano and CEO of IOG, describes the partnership with NMKR as a significant development for his organisation.
Martin Lawrence, a renowned actor and comedian, utilised NMKR’s new Minting API to create his first NFT collection earlier this summer.
At the time of writing, Cardano’s native asset ADA is trading at $0.5598. The sixth-ranked cryptocurrency by market capitalization has up 1.37 percent in the previous 24 hours and over 10 percent in the past week.
At the time of writing, one NMKR coin costs $0.0086 USD. The 779th-ranked crypto asset by market capitalization is up roughly 13% over the previous 24 hours and over 1% over the past week.
