Dogecoin fan @Tdogewhisperer has tweeted a snapshot from the popular crypto payments processor BitPay indicating that DOGE has become the fourth most often used cryptocurrency among its customers.
DOGE is the fourth most popular cryptocurrency, behind Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). Other prominent currencies, like XRP, LTC, and others, are priced less. The SHIB meme token, the second largest in terms of market capitalization after Dogecoin, concludes our BitPay list.
Elon Musk deployed BitPay in the autumn of 2017 to sell “Burnt Hair,” a collector cologne manufactured by his company, The Boring Company. BitPay enabled consumers to purchase this scent using cryptocurrencies, such as Dogecoin and Shiba Inu meme tokens.
The Twitter user @cb doge has tagged Twitter CEO Elon Musk in a request to release a Dogecoin hash-emoji. He reminded the billionaire that Jack Dorsey, while he was CEO of Twitter, released a Bitcoin emoji, being a BTC enthusiast and advocate. Twitter also includes emoticons for TRX, BNB, ETH, and other cryptocurrencies. His plea was made on behalf of the whole Dogecoin community, according to @cb doge.
Now that Elon Musk controls Twitter, the Dogecoin army expects him to add an emoji for DOGE since he is a well-known backer of the largest meme currency by market capitalization. In addition, Musk urged in the summer that Twitter introduce Dogecoin as a payment option for Twitter Blue.
