Former President Donald Trump has disclosed the launch date of his latest decentralized finance (DeFi) initiative, World Liberty Financial.
Trump disclosed that the platform will roll out on Monday, September 16th, in a recent video update on X.
Donald Trump extended an invitation to his followers to participate in the inaugural event on Twitter Spaces on the same day. During the event, he will elaborate on the objectives of World Liberty Financial, which is to transform the financial sector by transitioning from conventional banking systems.
The project’s objectives were delineated earlier this month, with a particular emphasis on the global dissemination of stablecoins that are linked to the US dollar and the advancement of decentralized finance. World Liberty Financial is dedicated to bolstering the function of US dollar-pegged stablecoins as the foundation of DeFi networks.
The project’s objective is to maintain the US dollar’s position as the dominant currency in the global financial system, while simultaneously improving the security and accessibility of DeFi.
Additionally, the initiative is collaborating with cybersecurity experts and the DeFi platform Aave (AAVE) to further its objectives. In August, the platform was initially introduced under the name The DeFiant Ones with the objective of making substantial progress in the DeFi sector.
