Tether teaches Celo users about USDT’s uses

The Stabila Foundation, Valora, and Tether have collaborated to establish a new global learning initiative that will focus on the utilization of the stablecoin USDT on the Celo blockchain.

The goal is to illustrate genuine use cases and enlighten on the adoption of the largest stablecoin. Nigeria, South Africa, Brazil, Turkey, and Vietnam will be the first countries to implement the program.

Through the Valora mobile application, the Valora Learning Program hopes to attract more than 100,000 new Web3 consumers in emerging markets.

Specifically, the objective is to encourage the adoption of the stablecoin and showcase real-world applications of USDT on Celo, a new Ethereum Layer-2 and mobile-first blockchain network.

Designed for the actual world, Celo facilitates rapid and cost-effective payments worldwide. Valora and Tether are currently in the process of launching the program in Nigeria, South Africa, Brazil, Turkey, and Vietnam.

Paolo Ardoino, the CEO of Tether, expressed his opinion on this matter: “We are revolutionizing the manner in which individuals interact with money, particularly in unbanked communities. The Valora Learning Program will employ the Valora mobile application to illustrate the genuine applications of stablecoins to users in emerging markets, thereby offering them a critical introduction to USDT.

Participants will not only acquire practical experience and earn rewards in digital assets through interactive learning modules, but they will also be able to promptly use these assets to save, transmit, or receive funds global within the Valora wallet.

Additionally, this initiative endeavors to streamline the Web3 experience by facilitating the execution of transactions with USDT on Celo in a more efficient, expeditious, and cost-effective manner.

In general, the most prevalent applications of stablecoins include staking, earning, value holding, payments, and remittances.
