The creator of Cardano responds humorously to Vitalik Buterin’s assessment of the Twitter CEO hunt.
In a recent tweet, Vitalik Buterin advised Elon Musk not to choose a successor for Twitter’s CEO too quickly. The CEO of Tesla, who purchased Twitter in late October to the delight of many Twitter users, has voiced a willingness to stand aside as Twitter’s CEO once he finds “someone stupid enough to do the position.”
This occurred when more than 57.5% of users voted in favour of his departure, a decision he pledged to honour.
As anxious as the Ethereum founder is to learn who the new CEO will be, a fast executive search may have devastating results; “I know this from terrible personal experience,” Buterin joked.
Charles Hoskinson, the creator of Cardano, reacted to Buterin’s tweet by stating that he shared the same viewpoint. Hoskinson wrote, “That’s funny; I had the same notion.” Given the history of the relationship between the two founders, some Twitter users have interpreted Charles Hoskinson’s “apparently harmless” remark in a variety of ways.
Hoskinson quit Ethereum after a disagreement with the other co-founders about whether or not the Ethereum project should be commercial. Therefore, Buterin and Hoskinson have a history of the rivalry.
After leaving Ethereum in June 2014, Hoskinson and Buterin seemed to have reconciled.
During a recent ask-me-anything session, Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, expressed his willingness to collaborate with Vitalik Buterin again.
He states that he would be prepared to cooperate with the Ethereum co-founder if the project is suitable for him. According to U.Today, Hoskinson teased Buterin that he still had time to move to Cardano early this year.
