A new platform on Base has attracted 13 U.S. politicians who are accepting crypto donations.

The political landscape in the United States is undergoing a substantial transformation, as evidenced by recent events, which indicate a significant transition toward a more pro-crypto outlook.

A very interesting development in this area is that senators and officials from both parties have moved to a new on-chain tool for receiving crypto gifts on the Ethereum L2 network Base.

Base network’s lead, Jesse Pollak, says that Engage Rise is making the new U.S. crypto giving platform, which is driven by Coinbase Commerce, a business blockchain platform service that lets retailers accept payments in digital assets.

According to the platform’s website, supporters have the option to donate to their preferred “blockchain-friendly” candidates using over 240 cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, or credit cards.

It also stated that political crypto donations are secure, quick, and fully compliant with regulatory obligations, including the collection of the “minimum” required user information to comply with FEC regulations.

Approximately 13 politicians, including Senator Cynthia Lummis and Rep. Tom Emmer, who are well-known advocates for blockchain technology, had registered on the platform to receive cryptocurrency donations as of July 23.

The website also featured Senators Ted Budd, Steve Daines, and Ron Wyden, as well as representatives Ritchie Torres, Andrew Garbaino, Dan Crenshaw, Darren Soto, and Glenn Ivey.

In related news, supporters of presidential candidate Donald Trump have announced their intention to raise $15 million at the Bitcoin conference in Nashville.
