The Terra Classic blockchain has taken a major step forward with the release of testnet version 2.0.0 by the L1 Joint Task Force (L1JTF) team. Given that progress in the network is indicative of an engaged team, the latest development may cause LUNC’s price to rise.
Since its all-time low on May 13, 2022, the project’s token has progressively gained acceptance in the crypto world, growing in value by more than 508.48%.
With the release of Cosmos SDK v0.45, the L1JTF testnet has been upgraded to version 2.0.0, marking a significant step forward for the project. The residents of Terra Classic were also instrumental in pushing the project’s restoration plan forward.
Importantly, this may also facilitate the update of the Terra Classic mainnet to version 2.0.0. Till, a part-time developer in the team, shared this insight.
He disclosed that a total of only six validators—among them, StakeBin, Lunanauts, and Allnodes—worked together to make the upgrade a success. Some of the project’s biggest fans, including reXx, were concerned that there weren’t enough validators at the table during its creation.
However, reports indicate that Professor Edward Kim approved of the experimentation. Given that he departed the L1JTF to pursue his artificial intelligence chain project, this comes as quite a surprise.
Project manager LuncBurnArmy of the L1 team proposed updating the Terra Classic core mainnet to version 2.0.0 after a successful testnet upgrade.
Upgrade installation is planned for May 17 per the proposal. It will most notably usher in an update to Cosmos SDK version 0.45.13 and Tendermint version 34.24.
The LUNC community is excited about the update, and some investors believe the token’s value will continue to climb as a result.
The L1JTF team is made up of knowledgeable programmers, blockchain specialists, and Terra Classic network enthusiasts. Their main responsibility is making sure the ecosystem is stable enough to host many different kinds of decentralized apps.
Success in Q1 of 2023 is indicative of this. With this momentum, the team is ready to make significant progress toward other Q2 objectives.
The Terra Classic (LUNC) network will be considerably impacted by the recent upgrade to version 2.0.0 of the L1JTF testnet. This, in turn, will help spread awareness of, and demand for, the token.
