France and the United Kingdom will soon provide the opportunity to purchase and sell XRP for fiat currencies.
This was published by the official Twitter account of Xumm Wallet, whose XRPL-built software is providing on- and off-ramp solutions. This capability is now accessible to users in the Netherlands.
The release states that Xumm intends to expand globally. The wallet team intends to do this with the assistance of its partners, BTC Direct and Banxa, with the former being responsible for development in Europe. Banxa, on the other hand, is already accessible in Asia, Europe, and the United States, therefore covering a larger portion of the globe.
Wietse Wind, the principal developer of Xumm Wallet and XRPL in general, made an intriguing observation on MoonPay, a well-known crypto-fiat payment solution provider. According to Wind, MoonPay will not be supported by Xumm Wallet since it does not match the requirements, and the compliance officer has also rejected it.
For individuals who do not want to swap XRP directly into fiat currency but are seeking a safe haven inside the XRPL ecosystem, the introduction of their own stablecoin, USDS, is approaching. Both the partner website, Stably, and the Xumm Wallet now provide the ability to produce and redeem USDS.
