BitPay, the premier payment processor for cryptocurrencies has announced that it now accepts ApeCoin (APE).
As reported, Italian fashion label Gucci stated it would begin taking the cryptocurrency in collaboration with BitPay, providing a significant adoption boost for the token that powers the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT ecosystem.
BitPay customers may now purchase, hold, and exchange the two new cryptocurrencies in their BitPay wallets and utilise them as cash substitutes. According to figures provided on its website, BitPay executed 66,608 transactions in June.
The most prominent cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, was responsible for more than fifty percent of all transactions. The second and third positions are Litecoin (21.21 percent) and Ethereum (9.71 percent). Dogecoin (6.17%) and Bitcoin Cash (5.02%) are among the top five cryptocurrencies. Shiba Inu accounted for less than 0.5% of all sales, a lesser percentage than in March.
Yachtzoo, a Monaco-based luxury boat firm, joined with BitPay in July, enabling its clients to purchase, trade, or hire a yacht using a variety of digital assets.
Last month, Kuoni, a Swiss travel agency, also announced a cooperation with BitPay. AMC Theatres, the most prominent theatre chain, and Newegg, a significant electronics shop, are among the several merchants supported by the notable cryptocurrency startup.
