Solana Labs, the firm that created the blockchain, has released its much-anticipated smartphone, the Saga. The announcement was made during a live event organized by the company’s Mobile division.
According to the announcement, the Saga smartphone was designed to compete with the premier products of its competitors.
“We determined that we needed to begin with a phone that was superior to all others on the market. The outcome is a svelte, aesthetically pleasing Android smartphone with premium components (…).”
OSOM, a technology company focused on privacy, created Saga. The Solana smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen mobile platform, which seeks to provide the user with the speed to perform multiple tasks in conjunction with an “integrated secure element,” a feature known as OSOM’s Seed Vault.
In addition, Saga will include a high-performance processor, 512GB of storage, a 6.67-inch OLED display, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The battery has a capacity of 4,110 mAh, which should keep the phone operational for hours. OSOM stated the following regarding the mobile device:
You get trusted unadulterated Android 13 coupled with unique features such as our patented Seed Vault, which introduces crypto self-custody to your pocket in a manner that no one else has done. Thus, you can sign transactions on the device with the familiarity and convenience of biometric security. In addition to Google’s Play Store, Solana’s dApp Store provides you access to all the blockchain-powered services you require.
As of the time of writing, Solana (SOL) has had a favorable reaction to the announcement. The token has generated a 3% profit in the past 24 hours and a 21% profit in the past 30 days.
