Airdrop of Ripple (XRP) Coins Announced by Evernode

The Ripple (XRP) project is making progress after its victory against the SEC. The Gemini-traded XRP airdrop was announced at long last.

Evernode, a layer 2 network that plans to connect smart contracts on the XRP Ledger using a mechanism called Hooks, has now announced an airdrop for XRP holders.

When the token called “Evers” is issued, the Evernode team plans to distribute 5,160,960 Evers to qualified XRP holders through a two-stage airdrop programme.

When it becomes life, we will give out 5,160,960 Evers to XRP holders who qualify. The airdrop will happen in two stages.

The amount of XRP held on the mainnet will be frozen in time, and then that amount will be airdropped to qualifying accounts on the Hooks sidechain.

The XRP asset snapshot will occur at 6:00 PM AEST on Friday, September 1. In order to participate in airdrops, XRP must be held on the Hooks chain itself, rather than on an exchange.

“Last but not least, we’d want to stress that the airdrop is meant as a gift. We cannot guarantee that you will be given either an Ever airdrop or an Ever number we will do all in our power to ensure that you do.”
