Bitcoin price predicted by Microsoft’s Copilot AI for the end of 2024

Bitcoin (BTC) and the cryptocurrency market as a whole had a huge surge in value last year, especially in the last three months, going from around $16,000 in January 2023 to about $44,000 in December 2023.

On the other hand, optimism, uncertainty, and volatility have defined the beginning of this year. The leading cryptocurrency in the world has gained 0.62 percent in the last day, reaching a price of $42,875 as of this writing.

Speculation and anticipation about the probable SEC approval of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) drove Bitcoin’s early price movements. The cryptocurrency’s volatility increased following the January 10 ETF approvals; BTC climbed above $48,000 this month before retracing significantly.

Another event, the Bitcoin halving, is anticipated to significantly affect the price of the digital asset in three months.

Finbold decided to question the large language model (LLM) where Bitcoin (BTC) would be in late 2024 in light of these expectations, worries, and uncertainties, and on top of that, Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) just released its AI platform, Copilot, which is built on OpenAI’s ChatGPT 4 model.

Copilot, Microsoft’s AI platform, is modular and offers three alternative conversation tones: balanced, precise, and creative. Other systems also let users choose from various models and plugins.

So, to test if the “tones” might provide different estimations, Finbold opted to use the same set of prompts for all of them. The AI was first presented with the conversation’s general outline, which was a made-up situation meant to provide a reasonable estimate.

The choice to start the conversation with the disclaimer that the situation is highly hypothetical is mainly influenced by past experiences with ChatGPT, a platform that is very afraid of price speculation unless it is explicitly told that it cannot reliably predict the future.

The second and primary request was to provide a detailed description of the assignment. Given that another AI platform predicted that Bitcoin’s value would vary from $9,000 to $250,000 in a few months’ time, the range cannot exceed $3,000 based on past history. This is the most extreme scenario that can be remembered.
