There have been reports of major problems with Shibarium’s debut yesterday, which has resulted in at least $1.8 million in cryptocurrency money getting stranded.
Over 1,003 ether ($1.8 million) worth of transactions on the recently launched Shibarium has apparently been stalled in a pending stage.
Beosin, a blockchain security company, has announced that the money is frozen and requested that all Shibarium users cease all activity immediately.
A purported screenshot from an internal Telegram discussion has been making the rounds online, purporting to show a Shibarium developer saying “We can’t recover the ETH bridged.”
Noting that they have not validated whether or not the RPC is dead, renowned blockchain detective ZachXBT said, “it’s a sloppy launch regardless.”
The Shibarium RPC website seems to be down at the time of this writing. Discord users have also allegedly been prevented from sending messages since the problems first surfaced.
Over the last day, the cost of a Shiba Inu has dropped by 9 percent. Bone and Leash, two related tokens, have both dropped by around a quarter. Yesterday at the Blockchain Futurist Conference in Canada, Shibarium debuted.
