The Ethereum game “Nifty Island” now allows creators to deposit AI agents into 3D worlds

Nifty Island, a Roblox-like Ethereum game for building and sharing 3D game environments, has added an easy mechanism to deploy AI bots.

Nifty Island, an Ethereum-based metaverse game, now supports interactive AI agents, allowing designers to drag and drop them onto their in-game islands, transforming them into interactive characters.

Players may simply incorporate a variety of popular AI agents such as Luna, AgentYP, and VaderAI, or they can design and deploy their unique agents. Once on an island, players may interact with the agents, who can respond, dance, and do acts on-chain.

“Just like we’ve done with NFTs and meme coins, our objective is to bring the things people are enthusiastic about on-chain into Nifty so they can play, create, and win rewards,” Nifty Island creator Charles Smith told Decrypt. “This is noteworthy because, until today, crypto-native AI agents served as chatbots on X. Now we’ve made the initial steps toward incorporating them into games.”

By default, users can only put agents on their islands. Users who own at least 100,000 of the ecosystem’s native ISLAND tokens (about $3,000) can install agents for usage across all islands.

Those deploying AI will be able to infuse Nifty Island information into agents, allowing them to recognize island names and descriptions, as well as describe spots of interest or current Nifty Island tasks in the future.

“With this increased knowledge of what is going on in-game and on-chain, they can award rewards depending on that activity and converse with players,” Smith explained. “In the future, they will be able to contribute more actively to game production and play.”

As part of its expanding multi-chain strategy, Nifty Island has revealed ambitions to expand the integration of Ronin, an Ethereum sidechain with strong gaming underpinnings. It has made the ISLAND token available for trade on Solana.

In December 2024, the platform concluded its play-to-airdrop campaign, awarding participants with ISLAND, the ecosystem token that first appeared on the Ethereum network.
