In what seems to be a reversal of a trend that has been ongoing for days, the price of bitcoin fell below $21,000.

According to the data provided by TradingView, the price dropped by more than $800 to reach a total of $20,777. Earlier in the day, the price had climbed all the way up to $21,650.
At the time of this writing, the price of a bitcoin has recovered some of those lost values and is now trading at about $20,900.
Despite this, the price of bitcoin is much higher than its beginning point for the year, which was about $16,600.
