The Tennessee Titans are the league’s first club to accept bitcoin for big, recurring payments through a third-party service provider.

The Tennessee Titans revealed today that they are the league’s first club to accept bitcoin for strategic investments through a third-party conversion provider. The launch of this agreement enables fans to pay using bitcoin for Titans and Nissan Stadium season tickets, suites, PSLs, and sponsorship options. At Titans and Nissan stadium events, fans will be able to buy season tickets, suits, PSLs, and sponsorship possibilities using bitcoin.

The Titans will first accept bitcoin exclusively for major purchases and recurring payments, but the organization aims to expand the program to include single-game tickets, merchandising, and on-site food and beverage sales.

Bitcoin Magazine and UTXO Management, a Nashville-based digital asset fund, worked closely with the Titans to deliver this feature to the team via a collaboration.

“We’re honored to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans as they embark on their Bitcoin adventure and provide a new method of payment to their fans,” said David Bailey, CEO of BTC Inc. and a partner at UTXO Management. “2022 is a landmark year for us as we continue to collaborate with major sports teams to educate and promote Bitcoin’s mainstream adoption. The Titans are a premier NFL club and an ideal partner for our venture.”

The Titans will become the first NFL club to take bitcoin, joining the MLB’s Oakland Athletics and the NBA’s Sacramento Kings and Dallas Mavericks.
