Trump Owns Some Ether

Donald Trump, the Republican nominee for president and a former US president, has between $250,000 and $500,000 in eth.

The millionaire disclosed holding a “cryptocurrency wallet (Ethereum)” full of his crypto assets. Given the prior statement indicating NFTs as revenue between $100,000 and $1 million in December 2022, that might represent the profits from NFT sales.

According to the statement, Trump received $298,000 in licencing fees from the NFT sale, and he is reportedly still holding these tokens in eth rather than changing them to cash.

When compared to Trump’s net worth of $2.5 billion, the amount is negligible. Even yet, to the best of our knowledge, he is the first prominent US politician to acquire eth or any crypto.

In 2019, he spoke out against Bitcoin, saying, “I am not a fan of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, which are not money and whose value is highly unstable and based on thin air.”

He also claimed in 2021, “[Cryptos] may be fake, who knows what they are,” adding, “I like the currency of the United States.”

The former President of the United States, who previously said that he did not engage in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency, now has genuine eth.

Since December, when he sold his NFTs and bought some Ether, Trump has been silent on the subject of his thoughts on cryptocurrency.
