Lookonchain, a popular cryptocurrency portal that monitors the transactions of “whales” (big institutional investors) and “cryptocurrency whales,” recently reported that a whale connected to Ethereum’s creator, Vitalik Buterin, has invested ETH in OKX.
According to Lookonchain, a “large whale” with ties to Buterin just placed 2,013 ETH (equivalent to $3.76 million) on the OKX cryptocurrency market.
Lookonchain further said that between December 30, 2022, and May 18, 2023, it bought 22,300 ETH (worth $41.6 million) from the address “0x9e92,” which is often believed to be affiliated with Vitalik Buterin.
Lookonchain shows that some time ago, the “0x9e92” address transferred 2250 ETH from its holdings to the “0xC767” address.
About 2 hours ago, a transaction of 2.013 ETH was sent from the address “0xC767” to the OKX blockchain.
Two hours ago, a whale worth $3.76 million put 2,013 ether (ETH) into OKX, which is affiliated with Vitalik Buterin.
From December 30, 2022, until May 18, 2023, this whale, whose address is sometimes written as “0x9e92,” got 22,300 ETH (worth $41.6 million) from Vitalik Buterin.
In addition, Lookonchain disclosed the timestamps of the OKX exchange deposits made by this address. Accordingly, it was seen that the price of ETH dropped after the address made a transfer to OKX. Due to statements made under Lookonchain’s sharing that this address’s popularity peaked on the days when ETH was deposited, it has gained some notoriety.
