Playing the skill-based video game Dookey Dash, players are freelancing their abilities to assist owners of Bored Ape Yacht Club Sewer Pass NFTs to get greater scores.

Billion-dollar NFT collection According to the NFT marketplace OpenSea, the new sewer-themed video game Dookey Dash by Bored Ape Yacht Club has produced more than $40 million in trade volume in the 10 days since its release.

Now, some veteran players are attempting to participate in what may be the largest web3 gaming gold rush since Axie Infinity by selling their professional talents.

“People have reached out to me and asked me to play on their accounts,” claimed the Twitch gamer known as Brycent. “I accepted one holder’s offer. He has six Bored Apes.

Why would Bored Ape NFT holders and Mutant Ape Yacht Club members be interested in employing gamers? According to OpenSea statistics, the prolific digital asset retailer Yuga Labs had approximately 23,700 “Sewer Pass” NFTs claimed by holders of its BAYC and MAYC collections a week ago. There are a total of 30,000 Sewer Passes available, and non-BAYC and MAYC cardholders may acquire them on the secondary market.

Whoever has a pass, regardless of whether they own a BAYC or MAYC token, may play Dookey Dash.

Although the game settings border on complexity, Yuga Labs’s hype-heavy gambit is indicative of a larger trend of top-tier NFT collections embracing novel promotional techniques in an effort to both broaden the reach of their brands and stimulate engagement among their current holders. Other notable collections, such as Doodles, Pudgy Penguins, and Azuki, have made steps to remain relevant despite the significant price decline that shook the world of non-fantasy trading cards for most of last year.
